Gracie and Rachel’s new video for “(Un)comfortable” premiered today on Impose Magazine!
“Their latest video for the track ‘(Un)comfortable’ is a melancholic black and white four minutes, driven by both rich, layered violins (provided by Rachel), and ethereal vocals. The video displays both Gracie and Rachel, but they are never acting together, essentially existing on different planes. It’s a needed look at coexisting, the act of being supportive but separate as well.”
The Fader debuted Ani DiFranco’s new music video for the title track from her new album Binary. In the video, an uncharacteristically intimate look at the Little Folksinger, Ani dances joyfully among director Matt Mahurin’s literal interpretations of her lyrical metaphors.
For her decades of work as a pioneering independent artist and label owner, Ani DiFranco received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the A2IM Libera Awards on June 8 — just in time for her new album, Binary, out June 9!
Earbuddy premieres the lyric video for “It’s Time” from Gracie and Rachel’s forthcoming self-titled debut album. “The song expresses a frustration with being controlled and an adamant readiness to stand up and make a change… The piece asks us to have critical conversations with ourselves, to recognize societal paralysis. It works to challenge the idea that there are only the options we are dealt in which we must choose from. It’s time to break free and dance our own dance.”
